Venn Hula Hoops From Jan Phillips Kennedy, a special education teacher at Woodruff Elementary School in Woodruff, South Carolina: "My students are grasping the concept of Venn diagrams by grasping onto hula hoops! Each pair of students configures their two hoops in patterns to show alike, different and together relationships. Given two picture cards and the hoop design, the pair is required to state a relationship of the two pictures. This activity has proven to spur imagination, comprehension and verbal expression skills."
